Fundraising Fall 2014

Why Fundraise?

The past few years the team has worked hard to raise money to help pay for new warm up jackets, custom designed race bibs, and wax benches/irons.  These purchases have given our team a new look, and have significantly improved our team's waxing capabilities.  Without extra money raised it would be difficult for us to purchase the adequate waxes and supplies needed for a program with growing numbers.  I would also like to have money to purchase another set of new Nordic race suits.  So, for this year, I have decided to hold a catalog fundraiser through 'Red Barn',  a Vermont based fundraising company out of Hinesburg.

The fundraiser I have chosen for Essex Nordic is 'Genevieve's' Fall catalog sales.  This offers a wide range of gift like items that might be appealing to Vermont customers, especially around the holiday season.  

How it Works
Catalogs: All athletes will be given a Genevieve's catalog showing the items being sold.  Customers will choose the items they would like to purchase and indicate the quantity of each item.  If customers ask about payment, please tell them that they do not have to pay until the items are delivered.  Approximate date of delivery for products is expected around December 8th - just in time for the holidays. Customers also have the option of purchasing online through the following website http://www.genevieves.com/buy.php This would be a great option for customers/relatives who live out of town and cannot easily have their items delivered.  If customers shop through this site, be sure they type in our organization fundraising code 13816 in order for us to collect the credit.

Payment: Checks should be made out to 'Essex Student Activities.'  For any parent wishing to help out I have extra catalogs available!  The more people we have participating the more money we can bring in!

Fundraising Dates: Thursday, November 9th - Wednesday, November 26th: By 11/26 I will need to have collected all order forms by this date to ensure we have items for delivery well in advance of the holidays.

Remember, all items that you sell make more money for the team.  That money supplements the Nordic budget and allows us to have great racing suits and the best waxing equipment and waxes. Good waxes make skis faster!
