First…  Congratulations to all fall sports teams!  I know that most athletes have finished their season, however, there are a handful still going (those competing at New Englands for XC). Having said this, it is now time to be thinking about Nordic!  Even though sign-ups are a week and a half away, there are some important upcoming dates I want to share.

Saturday, November 3rd and 4th – Cochran’s Ski Swap:  This is one of the last local ski swaps, so if you are still looking for reasonably priced equipment this is the event to make!

Wednesday, November 7th – Winter sports sign-ups at 2:45:  The Nordic team will meet in the Driver Ed. Room.  Do your best to share the word with anyone who might be interested in skiing!

Preseason Practices – Week 1: Monday, Nov. 12th - Friday Nov. 16th.  Week 2: Monday, Nov. 19th and Tuesday, Nov.  20th:  We do not begin official organized practices until Monday, November 26th, but because it is such a long time in between the fall and winter season, it is important for skiers to begin getting in shape before we officially start.  So, the two weeks prior to official practices I am labeling as our ‘Preseason’ time.  Preseason practices are not mandatory, but highly encouraged as they are a great way to help begin building the necessary strength and endurance needed for racing.   Practice dates, times, and locations can be found under the training page of this site

Friday November 16th Team preseason practice at the John’s house!  Monica and Alex John have kindly offered to host this practice at their place.  Parents are invited to participate!  This will be a great opportunity for team building as well as a chance to run and work out on excellent trails.
