Updates 2/9-2/13

We have (a little bit of) snow again! The weather has precipitated several changes in our schedule this week (pun shamelessly intended). Please see below:

1.Thursday’s costume relay race (skate techniwue) will be at Sleepy Hollow. The list of teams will be emailed. Race info:

• When: Thursday February 11th, 2016.  Varsity Boys 3pm.  Varsity Girls 5 min after completion.  Middle School (Not a relay) 5 min after that.  JV boys and girls will run together 5 min after that.
• Race:  Middle School will do 2 laps Mass Start 
• JV: Two Person Teams.  2x 1 km loop.  
• Varsity: Two Person Teams:  3x 1 km loop    
• Schools Attending: BFA-F, U-32, Harwood, BHS, SBHS, BFA-SA, Mont, Essex, CVU

2. Friday is our official team picture day! We will take pictures at 3 in the back field, dress in your uniform and skate boots for the start of practice.

3. Saturday we will race at the Range. Race info:

• U-32 hosts Skating Race at the Range
• COURSE:  Varsity skiers do three laps, and the JV and MS skiers do two laps.  
• WHEN: Saturday, 2/13/16.  Bus leaves EHS @ 9. The first race will be the Varsity Boys at 11:00.  Given that this is a multi-loop race, they will wait until the varsity boys are well into their third loop before starting the varsity girls.  The other races will have similar gaps.
• Middle School Championship: According to the race organizer “This will serve as a somewhat official State Championship Meet for middle school skiers.  We will have awards for the top schools and individuals in those races.”
• BATHROOM FACILITIES:  Are brand new!  Keep them clean, this is probably the single most impactful way for us to show our hosts respect.
• STARTING PROCEDURE:  Interval start.  One skier every ten seconds.
