Sleepy Hollow:

One race down! The link to results can be found under the 'Race Information' page of this blog.  Just scroll down beneath the race schedule.  Looking back on the day, I wanted to thank everyone for their cooperation with the bus ride to the race.  This was obviously a frustrating situation to have to cope with right before the first race, but nonetheless we did make there and almost everyone had the chance to go fast, which is really all I am looking for at this point of the season.

Next week (1/2 -1/6):

Since we will  not be meeting for practice again until next Wed., try making the opportunity to get out between now and next then to ski on your own!  The EHS school field should be in great condition for skate skiing by Sunday.  Use the links on the side of this blog under 'local ski sites' to find updated ski conditions at other venues.

Below is the schedule for next week after we return to school - Note this will be a busy week filled with skiing!
  
Wednesday, Jan. 2nd -
Skate ski at EHS.  Technique followed by speed.

Thursday, Jan. 3rd -
Classic ski at EHS field.  Have skate equipment available.

Friday, Jan. 4th - Sunday, Jan. 6th -
Craftsbury Trip!

It is time to begin planning for this weekend.  We have reservations to stay at the Lakeview Inn, in Greensborough, VT both Friday and Saturday nights.  As usual, we will need to rely on parent drivers to make this possible (and for cooking as well!)  I am attaching a trip itinerary as well as a driver sign up chart which shows the the driving legs, locations, and times.  For those unfamiliar with this, we need to be sure ahead of time that we will have enough parent drivers to transport everyone for each leg of the trip.  So, if you are a parent and think you can help out by driving, even for just one leg, please let me know by email which leg(s), or just type your name in the master driving chart (shown below) under the legs you can help, and send it back to me.  If you have more questions about this don't hesitate to ask.
