Winter Break Schedule:

Here is our tentative Winter Break schedule. Keep in mind, activities / practice locations and times are subject to change due to the unpredictable weather and snow forecast. I will do my best to update this to keep everyone informed should changes occur.

At this point the main focus is just to spend more time on snow. That being said, not only is it crucial for everyone to make their best effort to be at team practices throughout break, but I also encourage skiers to make attempts to ski outside of team practices as well. Whether you are on your own, grouped up with other team members, the more time we can spend on snow, the better off we will be as a team in the long run. The following are a list of locations / venues that currently have snow. Updates on conditions for a few of these places can be found under the side link of this blog.

- Craftsbury Outdoor Center
- Trapp Family Lodge, Stowe
- The Notch Road, Jeffersonville (ungroomed)

Saturday, December 22nd -
The South Burlington Race originally scheduled has been cancelled.  However, in order to spend more time on snow we will be practicing at Craftsbury.  The bus will leave EHS at 8:30, so please be at school around 8:15.  Our expected return time will be 3:00.  Bring both classic and skate ski equipment as well as lunch foods.

Sunday, December 23 -
On Your Own - Just Ski! If you have transportation and the time, the more you can get out on your own and ski the better. 

Thursday, December 27th -
Race at TBA.  This race was originally scheduled to be held at Sleepy Hollow, but due to the lack of snow it will be held at a different location (race site currently being discussed).  Bus departure time will be dependent on the location. 

Friday, December 28th -
Practice at TBA.  I expect to practice at either the Range in Jericho or at Bolton Valley.  Again, location largely depends on where the snow is, however I do intend to be at a more local site than Craftsbury.  Bus will leave EHS at 9:00.  Approximate return time: 12:00.
